Loek van Mil earns save in ABL All-Star Game

The World All-Stars beat team Australia in the ABL All-Star Game as they snapped a three-game losing streak against the Aussies. After trailing most of the game, the World All-Stars bounced back late in the game and eventually won 6-4.
The World All-Stars took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Delmon Young scored from second base on a single to left field by Jay Baum. But team Australia bounced back in the next inning when they scored three on a homer by Luke Hughes.
The insurance run the Aussies scored in the fourth inning appeared not to be enough. In the sixth inning, with two outs, the World All-Stars tied the game. With runners on first and second, Adam Weisenburger doubled to drive in Tai-Shan Chang and Donald Lutz (who had gotten on base on a fly ball single). Weisenburger scored from third on Jay Baum’s double to tie the game at four.
After the World All-Stars scored the go-ahead run, they scored an insurance run in the ninth inning when Jake Fraley homered off Ryan Searle.
But the insurance run wasn’t really needed as the World All-Stars sent Dutchie Loek van Mil to the mound. Even though he had some problems in finding the strike zone, he recorded two quick outs before he retired Jarryd Dale on a strikeout.

So Van Mil earned the save and Michael Click earned the win after he pitched in the sixth frame in which he allowed a hit and a walk but fanned two.
German national team player Donald Lutz reached base thrice as he went 2 for 4 with a walk and scored once.
