French Baseball Gets Green Light.

It is official. In a new post on its website, the French Baseball and Softball Federation announced that the 2021 baseball season will take off in June.

In the schedule above, it is show that from June 9,  adults (Majeurs) will be allowed to play games again. Children (Mineurs) will be allowed to play, starting May 19.

What this means for the start of the season remains to be seen. For Division 1, the start of the season still stands at the weekend of June 11. But since no (practice) matches are allowed before June 9, it may very well be that the start of the season will be pushed back a bit, in order to give the teams the opportunity to prepare themselves in a proper way by playing some practice matches.

But for sure, it is good to read that baseball is around the corner in France as well.
