The Czech Extra League, the highest level of baseball in the Czech Republic will start a week later than planned due to COVID-19 according to milujeme-baseball.cz.
The original starting date, April 2nd, will not be met. But the dark scenarios of starting at the end of April or the beginning of May, are also scratched.
The Extra League will start on April 9 without fans in the stands for the time being.
Fans will have to watch baseball through the streams several clubs do provide. Other Czech baseball leagues will likely start not before the month of May.
Another European baseball website, Le Baseblog, also announced that the French League 1 will be postponed. But it must be said that no official statement by the FFBS has been released yet. With several French areas in lockdowns, it is hard to start up the highest French league. Originally the start of the season was targeted for April 24/25 but now the target is June 5.
If the start of other leagues will be postponed, you will read it here.
