CPBL Postpones Games For This Week, Olympic Qualifier Uncertain

With a current spike in COVID-19 contaminations in Taiwan, the CPBL has decided to postpone all games of this week in order to get the contaminations in check.

Starting tomorrow, May 18, games will be postponed until Sunday, May 23.

A new competition schedule will be discussed.

On Twitter, several CPBL clubs announced the postponement of their games.

In the meantime, the Taiwanese government announced that it will prevent foreigners from entering the country unless they have a residence permit. Nothing has been said about the upcoming Olympic Baseball Qualifier. Can this tournament be played? The tournament is still a month away and we don’t know how long the measures, taken by the Taiwanese government, will last.
