Like last year, Nettuno Baseball has signed another player from the Dutch Kingdom. After Oliver van det Wijst Nettuno has acquired Ademar Rifaela.

The 26-year old Curaçao born outfielder spent 7 years in the farm system of the Baltimore Orioles but was not re-signed due to corona. As a result, Rifaela joined Quick Amersfoort from the Dutch hoofdklasse. Likely any MLB club did not want to sign him for 2021, so he headed to Italy to join the club that earned a promotion to the Serie A.
At bat, Ademar wasn’t really impressive throughout his minor league career. His highest BA was .287 with the Fredrick Keys in 2017. With Quick Amersfoort, he batted a rather disappointing .233.
His defense on the other hand is pretty good. The outfielder posted a career .987 in the minors. With Quick Amersfoort, Ademar posted a disappointing .846.

But during the 2019 European Championship, Ademar proved to have some pop in his bat. He hit 6 home runs and drove in 17 runs. He was the leader in these two stats during that championship.
