Aruban talent signs with Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles have acquired another talent from the Isle of Aruba. The youngster from Paradera signed a seven-year contract with the Birds.
According to Baseball Aruba, left-handed pitcher Adrion Lacle was signed out of the international draft as the best pitching prospect from Aruba.
According to Sports Zone Aruba, it is the first time, the O’s are signing an Aruban player.
Adrion played for the Rockets organization on Aruba and has represented Aruba in the preliminary rounds of Little League baseball and the Junior League World Series.
Adrion will be one of nine players from Aruba in affiliated minor league baseball. At the age of seventeen, it is very likely he will be sent to the Dominican Republic before he makes his first steps on the US mainland.
