Why not call up Refsnyder Mr. Cashman?

Refsnyder wit the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders

Rob Refsnyder earned the AAA batter of the week honor after hitting .400 with six extra basehits. Among those two homeruns on Sunday in the week of May 11 through May 17. But then again there is his defense at second base. So far he committed nine errors in the short season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. At second base…. I just found out that Refsnyder was an outfielder in his college days…. Do you get it? I don’t. Why don’t the Yankees place him back in the outfield. It may take a few games before he will refind his groove but once you have played outfield, you will never lose the abillity completely.

Now Ellsbury is out for an undisclosed time due to a knee injury, it may be time to prepare Rob for the outfield job.
For now the Yankees have called up Slade Heathcott to replace Ellsbury on the roster. Heathcott is hitting .285 at AAA so far. Refsnyder has a batting average of .312.

Maybe it is time to rethink what you want to do with Refsnyder, Mr. Cashman. Right now he has committed as many errors as he did in the whole 2014 campaign. Why was he moved to the infield while he was used to play in the outfield anyway?

Move him to second base. Perhaps it is worth a thought. As long as the Yankees claim that he will be called up if he improves his defense, he will never be called up as long as he is a second baseman.

Why spoil a good bat?
