Former MLB star Andruw Jones will join an effort by the Curaçao Government and the ARBJ Foundation to build a new Little League Ballpark on the Caribbean Island.
Jones, the Curaçao Government and the ARBJ Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU for short) for the construction of this state of the art ballpark.
A MOU is nothing final yet but it is a step into the right direction.

The location of the new structure will be Muizenberg, a neighborhood in the Northern part of Willemstad.
For Andruw Jones it is important to give something back to the baseball community of Curaçao. It has been a dream of his ever since he broke into the Majors. The idea to invest back in the sport of baseball came about around 20 years ago and with this agreement, it has become closer to reality.
During the event of signing the MOU, Minister Mr. Steven Croes said an agreement was reached with two other professional players of Curacao to develop other baseball stadiums as well. Next week, there will be an announcement about these projects.
