As you could read here the other week, two players of L&D Amsterdam Pirates were diagnosed with COVID-19. As a result, the series between Curaçao Neptunus and L&D Amsterdam Pirates was cancelled after game one. Now the games of L&D Amsterdam for the upcoming weekend have been postponed as well.

In the past days, another player of L&D Amsterdam Pirates has been tested positive on COVID-19. As a result, the games between L&D Amsterdam Pirates and HCAW from Bussum, that were scheduled for the upcoming weekend will be postponed.
So in total, L&D Amsterdam Pirates will have five games to make up. One can wonder how the team will manage to do this. Normally the playing day for makeup games is a Tuesday night. But with five games, they will have to play on several weeknights which is sheer impossible with the size of Dutch hoofdklasse pitching staffs.
One can wonder if players of Curaçao Neptunus have been contaminated by Pirates’ players. If that would have been the case, those players would have shown some symptoms by now and then the club would have sounded the alarm bell; at least I think the club will be responsible enough to do so.
One thing is clear. Only one series will be played in the Top Four group in the upcoming weekend: Curaçao Neptunus vs Hoofddorp Pioniers
