Orioles promote Kirvin Moesquit to A Full Season

The Delmarva Shorebirds announced their 2018 Break Camp roster, which is actually the opening day roster for the upcoming minor league season. New on this roster is 23-year old Curaçao native Kirvin Moesquit.

Kirvin spent the previous two seasons with the A Short Season Aberdeen Ironbirds in the New York-Penn League. He hit .276 for the 2017 season but in his last ten games, Kirvin hit a whopping .324, going 12 for 37 with three RBI and a stolen base. In 2016, Kirvin played 53 games in which he hit .250.

On the defensive side, the second baseman still has room for improvement. Last season he committed ten errors in just 58 games (.960 fielding percentage).

Moesquit was one of ten who earned organizational All-Star honors last season. This season with the Shorebirds (South Atlantic League) will be the fourth of his professional career.
