HV Renegades change look again

Next season the Hudson Valley Renegades (A short-season affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) will celebrate its 25th anniversary. For the occasion, the team has changed its look once more.

The biggest change can be found in the caps. The home/road cap has a similar look as the previous one but still, there is a clear difference. The raccoon head has a different look. The two alternate caps are much different for sure. The colors remain the same but the logos have changed.

The Renegades teamed with Studio Simon in Louisville, Kentucky to create the new logo identity system along with the 25th year logos. That studio developed the Renegades original brand identity in its inaugural season of 1994 as well as updates to that brand in 1995 and 2003. Studio Simon also designed the Renegades 5th and 10th season commemorative logos.

The primary logo has been updated as part of the new team identity. Next to the updated main logo, there will be an alternate logo that shows a connection between the club and the Hudson Valley region featuring the new Renegades type font incorporated with the familiar views along the Hudson River.

The team will wear new uniforms in 2018. Next to the traditional home white and road grey, there will be an alternate blue jersey. The familiar “mask” on the road/home cap will come with glow in the dark eyes.
The 25th anniversary will not pass unnoticed as a commemorative logo has been designed by Studio Simon as well. Special feature of this commemorative logo is that it comes in three different colors, the colors the team has donned through the years.

2018 NEW LOGO! (1) NEW ERA ON-FIELD HOME CAPThe new caps are for sale in the online shop of the Renegades. The price of $30 is rather steep. Nevertheless, the powder blue alternate cap is rather sweet. The all black home/ road cap is nice too but the alternate 2 cap with a plate-shaped HV logo isn’t something special IMHO.

The Renegades aren’t the only club that is changing its look these days. NEW ERA ON-FIELD ALT 2CAPAlso, the Gwinnett Braves and the Augusta GreenJackets will present a new look in the coming days.  If you look 2018 NEW LOGO! The Augusta GreenJackets will change their look due to the new ballpark they will move in in 2018
