The independent Frontier League, founded in 1993, has presented a new logo. One of the premier indy leagues is home to sixteen teams divided into two divisions and will serve as an MLB “partner” league for the second season.

According to its website,” the new Frontier League logo, created by Brian Gundell Design, features patriotic symbolism representing the Canadian (red) and American (blue) markets. The compass logo illustrates navigating into new, uncharted territory, while the upward direction indicates the league is always looking to the future.”
The league will also launch a new website.
“As we enter our 29th season with new innovations such as our streaming package with FloBaseball.TV and our player analytics program with Yakkertech and BaseballCloud, we wanted to modernize our overall brand,” commented the Assistant Commissioner. Steve Tahsler, who has worked for the Frontier League since 1997. “The new PrestoSports website and PrestoStats platform will provide a clear and crisp presentation of league news, schedules, and statistics for our fans.”
The preparations for the new season will start tomorrow as spring training camps will start. Exhibition games will commence on April 30. The regular season will start on May 12.
The new logo comes nowhere close to the old one (shown on the left). I liked the old one, but I also like the new logo. In my humble opinion, the old logo shows a bigger relationship to baseball with the diamond shape, the bats, and the ball. The new logo only shows a baseball as part of a compass.
