Chadwick Tromp added to Daytona Tortugas roster

Finally, after an extended Spring Training, Aruban catcher Chadwick Tromp has been added to the roster of the Daytona Tortugas (A-Advanced affiliated of the Cincinnati Reds in the Florida State League). Another player from the Dutch Kingdom, Calten Daal from Curacao was also placed on the roster of the Tortugas

According to his player page, Chadwick was added to the roster of the Billings Mustangs Afbeeldingsresultaat voor Chadwick Trompon April 4. But since that team only starts to play mid June, it was nothing more than an extended Spring Training for him.

Yesterday, the Cincinnati Reds placed Tromp on the roster of the Tortugas and played his first game of the season vs Fort Myaers Miracle. At bat, it wasn’t a success yet as he went 0 for 3 with a walk and a strikeout.

Chadwick spent the 2016 season with the Daytona Tortugas as well. With that club he struggled at bat as he did not hit higher than .215. But behind the plate he did rather well as he threw out 37% of the potential base stealers and committed only three errors in 69 games.
