Orioles sign Kim

Hyun-Soo Kim with the MVP trophy of the Premier 12

Korean outfielder Hyun-Soo Kim, reportedly signed a two year contract with the Baltimore Orioles. The Korean slugger is coming of a
.326/.428/.541 with the new Korean champion Doosan Bears.
Kim is a very patient hitter regarding his 101 walks and only 63 Ks in the past season.

The Orioles are in need of corner infielders and Kim mainly played left field with the Doosan Bears.

Both parties signed a two year deal worth $7 million, which is a steal for the Orioles.

Kim was named the MVP of the inaugural Premier 12 tournament of the WBSC. He went 3 for 5 with three RBI in the final vs the USA and collected eleven hits out of thirty-three at bats (.333) with thirteen runs batted in.

During his career in the KBO he was a career .318/.406/.488 hitter with 142 homers and 771 RBI.

Rumors have been swirling around about the Oakland Athletics being interested to sign the Korean outfielder, but Baltimore grabbed the bull by the horns apparently.
