Novara replaces Godo Knights in IBL

Recently it was announced that the Godo Knights withdrew from the IBL because they could no longer meet the financial burden that comes with playing in the IBL.

Now the Italian Baseball League has announced that SSD Baseball Novara will replace the club from Godo.

Novarra will play in group B together with Fortitudo Bologna, T&A San Marino and Nettuno. Group A will contain Nettuno 2, Rimini Pirates, ASD Baseball Parma and Padua.

Novara Baseball was founded in 1967. Even though the club played at the highest level in Italy several times, it did not win any championship. But the club won the Italian cup twice; in 1983 and in 1992.
