L&D Support remains main sponsor of Amsterdam Pirates through 2020 season
I thought this was old news, but apparently it was only announced yesterday. In a time where a couple of Dutch hoofdklasse clubs have problems in finding a sponsor, Amsterdam Pirates and L&D Support have extended their sponsorship deal through the 2020 season, giving the team some stability.
A part of the deal is the counseling and coaching of the players and their staff. L&D stands for learn and development and is specialized to visualize the possibilities of growing and developing of individuals and groups.
As steady part of the top four in the Dutch major league, the goals of the team for the upcoming seasons are clear: reaching the play offs and as additional goal the team wants to win the Holland Series.
The 2016 season will be extra special for the Amsterdam based team. By winning the regular season, the team has qualified for the new implemented format of the European Cup. Next to that the team has joined the Euro League Baseball, the upstart pro league in Europe that has participants in Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Italy and the Netherlands.
According to the chairman of Amsterdam Pirates, Gerard van Tiggelen, the deal with L&D Support means stability and
continuity for the Hoofdklasse team. Next to that the expertise of L&D Support can be used to support the baseball and softball youth teams of the club.
