Dutchies in Minor League Baseball, Friday April 10

AAA

The Albuquerque Isotopes tied the series by beating the Reno Aces 2-1 but Roger Bernadina didn’t get a basehit for the second consecutive game. He went 0 for 2 with two strikeouts and a walk.

AA

Randolph Oduber went 1 for 2 with a lead off bunt in the bottom of the second and also got on base thanks to a HBP. After Randolph got on base in the second inning he was doubled off first base as team mate Della Cleary lined into an inning ending double play. He also laid down a sac bunt to advance team mate Sean Pleffner. Eventually the Harrisburg Senator needed eleven innings to beat the Altoona Curve 3-2.

A Full Season

Sicnarf Loopstok went 1 for 4 as he struck out three times in the DH role. He singled once on a fly ball to center field. His team, the Lake County Captains lost to the Lansing Lugnuts 3-2.


Darren Seferina
went 0 for 2 with a walk and his team, the Peoria Chiefs fell to the Quad Cities River Bandits 5-2. Darren made two routine 4-3 outs but also nailed Jorge Martinez at the homeplate as he tried to score on a fielder’s choice hit by Bobby Boyd.

Just like the previous two games, Shawn Duinkerk played in another Midwest League game. For his team, the Beloit Snappers, he went 1 for 3 and laid down a sacrifice bunt that advanced runners to third and second, which eventually led to the game tying and game winning run in the seventh inning. Gianfranco Wawoe didn’t see action with his Clinton LumberKings.

In the Rome Braves’ 6-3 loss vs the Asheville Tourists, Ozhaino Albies went 0 for 4 with a strikout. In the bottom of the eighth inning Ozhaino drew a walk and eventually scored on a Wigberto Nevarez.

Jiandido Tromp went 0 for 6 with four strikeouts in the 4-3 loss of his Lakewood BlueClaws vs the Kannapolis Intimidators.
