Baseball Fans Try to Have Rebuild Destroyed Jay Littleton Ball Park

In late August 2024, historic Jay Littleton Ball Park burned down to the ground. Since then, local baseball fans are trying to raise funds to rebuild the ballpark.

For nearly ninety years, Jay Littleton Ball Park was a beloved part of Ontario, California until a few screetchy pukes (pardon my French) set the wooden grandstand on fire. The whole place burned down the the ground. The ballpark was a beloved location for the Hollywood film industry to shoot some baseball (related) movies.

Jay Littleton Ball Park in better days

Since this dramatic day, local baseball fans are trying to raise funds to rebuild the ballpark. Others try to convice the city of Ontario to rebuild with a petition.

Both initiatives are not going well. When it comes to the petition, the city of Ontario did not come with any updates and there has been no mention of the ballpark on future city council agendas. If you want to sign the petition, here is the link.

The crowd funding isn’t very succesful either. The goal of $100,000 is not in reach by far. The raised amount is stuck at $1,540. If you are a baseball fan and living in the Inland Empire, please donate to this noble cause. Of course people outside that area are also welcome to donate. Here is a link to the go fund me page.

Yours truly will post this blog post on the social media channels of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They will move their A-ball team from Rancho Cucamong to Ontario next year as they will head into a brand new ballpark. If the club wants to show commitment to the Ontario community, this is their chance.
