Plenty of Dutchies Drafted For Baseball United League
The upstart Baseball United League had its draft today. A lot of former professional players were drafted by the four teams of the league. Several players from Curaçao were drafted as well.
Baseball United is a baseball league with teams in India, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates. It is an attempt to grow the sport of baseball in the Middle East and Asia (besides Korea, Taiwan, and Japan).
Several former MLB players take part in this league: Barry Larkin, Mariano Rivera, and Adrian Beltre are co-owners and board members. Felix Hernandez is co-owner.
The four teams that will take part in this new league are the Mumbai Cobras, Karachi Monarchs, Dubai Wolves, and Abu Dhabi Falcons.

Todd van Steensel (Dubai Wolves), Alberto Mineo (Abu Dhabi Falcons), Dylan Unsworth (Karachi Monarchs), Brandon Laird (Mumbai Cobras), Bartolo Colon (Karachi Monarchs), and Robinson Cano (Dubai Wolves), just to name a few.
On November 24 and 25, two promotional All Star Games will be played. Players, representing 13 countries will partake in a West and an East All Star team. The games will be followed by a fan fest, which is free for everyone.
