Today, the WBSC Europe and the Czech Baseball Association unveiled the logo of the 2023 European Baseball Championship. With this, the candidacy of the Czech Republic was announced as well.
With a tweet, the WBSC Europe unveiled the official logo of the tournament. Where in the Czech Republic the tournament will be played was announced as well.
According to Czech baseball authority http://www.milujeme-baseball.cz, the new logo contains a baseball surrounded by a set of colors, representing a glove, a bat and a hand. But the colours are explained in the tweet of the WBSC Europe as well: Blue for the sky, orange for the dirt of the infield, and green for the grass. The Czech baseball website also announced, the CBA (Czech Baseball Association) has found a partner that will focus on the development of young players and trainers.

This year, three qualifiers were played in Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Serbia. The three winners of these tournaments would face each other in a playoff tournament which would allow the top two finishers to advance to the main tournament. But with Russia banned from international tournaments due to the invasion of Ukraine, the three winners of the qualifiers (France, Switzerland, and Hungary) automatically advance to the main tournament.

The tournament take place between the 24th of September and the 1st of October. In this tournament, the Kingdom of the Netherlands will defend its 2021 title.
