HCAW adds American to flagship team
Dutch hoofdklasse club HCAW from Bussum has expanded its roster with American outfielder Bryce Cherry. The American born will be added to the roster immediately.
In a press release, the club from Bussum announced the addition of the 25-year old Californian born Cherry, who played for San Francisco State University. In 2014 he batted .279 for the NCAA Division two college. He collected thirteen doubles and three triples and drove in 22 runs. In the outfield, Cherry was responsible for 67 putouts in right field.
Last season, Cherry played for (then) hoofdklasse club Pickles UVV and batted .299 in 21 games for the club from Utrecht. Bryce is residing in the Netherlands and will be added to an outfield that contains players like Julian Rip, Seb Visser (who merely is a utility player), Roland Laurens (who is also pitching), Jeandro Tromp, Julian Goins (who is also catching) and Kevin Weijgertse. Roelie Henrique, who has played infield for the club from Bussum last season, also has outfield experience when he played with L&D Amsterdam Pirates.

The last couple of weeks, Bryce already trained with the flagship team of HCAW so he can play in the coming weeks when HCAW will play its first practice games.
