Durham Bulls unveil new 2018 uniforms
With a promotional campaign named “A return to tradition”, the Durham Bulls (AAA farm team of the Tampa Bay Rays) have announced their new uniforms for the 2018 season.
Especially with the “new” home jersey, the Bulls return to the classic jersey we all know from the movie Bull Durham. This button-down jersey has the classic block D with the bull jumping through it.

While the name Bulls was displayed on the previous road jersey, the club wanted the name of the city to return to the new road jersey. Now the name of Durham is emblazoned on the front. The iconic D-logo is displayed on the right sleeve of the jersey.

But the new home and road jersey aren’t the only new ones. Nowadays clubs cannot do without an alternate jersey and neither do the Durham Bulls. The new alternate jersey is blue with a jumping black bull, removed from the D. Inside the black of the bull the word city can be read. According to the club, it is all about Bull City pride.

The Bulls will sport their new unis starting April 5 when they take on the Charlotte Knights at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The complete uniforms look like this:

The home jersey comes with the traditional blue cap. The alternate comes with a blue cap with a white crown and a burnt orange lid. The road jersey comes with a burnt orange road cap.
Personally, I am not sold on the new alternate jersey but the new home jersey is a major improvement over the previous one. It has the classic look we all know.
