Columbia Fireflies unveil uniforms
After the Columbia Fireflies presented their new caps (all glow in the dark), it took a while before they unveiled their new uniforms. But yesterday the moment was finally there.
The home jersey will be white with navy piping and will be carrying the word Firefles in grey/silver and with a navy lining/background. Yellow curved lines make it look like a firefly is encircling the name on the jersey. On the right sleeve there will be the firefly logo that is on the home cap too.
The uniform numbers are designed too look like a flame.

The road uniform will be in the traditional grey, but the sleeves will be in navy. The lettering will also be in grey/silver with a navy lining/background and the script says Columbia. The script will also be encircled by yellow curved lines. This jersey has the same style of uniform numbers as the home jersey. The road jersey will have the alternate FF logo on the right sleeve.

For batting practice, the team will wear a mesh navy button down jersey with the firefly logo on the left chest.

The team’s alternate jersey will be neon yellow/green with the word Fireflies in the very same font as on the home jersey. On the right sleeve, the firefly logo is worn again.
The Fireflies played as the Savannah SandGnats in 2015 as it was announced that the team would move to Columbia. The team is the A Full Season affiliate of the New York Mets in the South Atlantic League.
Next to the uniforms, the team’s staff was presented. Jose Leger will be the manager. Leger has a couple of years of experience as a manager under his belt. Other members of the coaching staff include pitching coach Jonathan Hurst, hitting coach Joel Fuentes, athletic trainer Kiyoshi Tada and strength and conditioning coach Alex Tavarez.
