Also UVV announces new acquisitions
According to the website of RTV Utrecht, UVV will have eleven new players on their roster.
After several players left for other clubs, the Utrecht based club needed to do something.
Pitchers Kevin van Veen, Quinn Tramm and Jose Moreno jumped ships from Mampaey the Hawks to reinforce the UVV roster. Kevin van Veen posted a 1-7 record with a 6.05 ERA.Quinn Tramm earned two victories and lost seven games and posted a 5.96 ERA. The best pitcher of the three was Jose Moreno. Despite posting a 0-4 record, he had a 4.24 ERA.
Also from Mampaey the Hawks is infielder Berend Ruben. Ruben hit .264 with 29 hits of which a double and a homerun. He drove in thirteen runs.
New catcher Sven Jongejans comes over from DSS where he hit a modest .203 in 38 games.
Other new players are Jair Roseburg (who was inactive), Tijmen Takke (Scimitars, one of the six baseball academies in the Netherlands) and Steven van Reem (L&D Amsterdam rookie team).
Other new players come from the rookie team (farm team) of UVV. Catcher Cecil Commencia, Pitcher Rick Heijman and outfielder Serginio Martis comes from from the second team of UVV.
Former catcher Joris van Ballegooij joins the coaching staff.
It remains to be seen if these new players can replace those who left the club: Kevin Knollenburg, Dennis de Quint ( both to Oosterhout Twins), Gilmer Lampe (to L&D Amsterdam Pirates), Oscar Meuris, Ian Delemarre, Jim Ploeger (all to HCAW) and Brennan Nijhof Vaessen Pioiniers).
