Curacao Winter League announced

To the people from Curacao this may be old news in the meantime, but it just caught my eye.

The website of International Baseball Partners LLC, yes those who will build the new baseball complex in Curacao, announces the establishment of a new Winter League: the Curacao Winter League. On may 4, the plans were unveiled.

The Curacao Winter League will be a new addition to the Caribbean Winter Leagues. The Curaçao Winter League (CWL) is projected to be home to top baseball talent from professional baseball leagues in the United States and Europe as well as players from in Curaçao. The intention is to start the league in November 2015.

It is to be expected that the new baseball complex, Project 421, will be home to the league as soon as the construction has been finished. This year the CWL games will be played at the Santa Maria Ballpark and the Tio Daou Ballpark, a facility with artificial turf.
