Dutchies in MLB, April 7

Not many Dutchies saw action yesterday. Only two games were played by teams that have Dutchies on their roster.

ndrelton Simmons saw the ball very well yesterday. In the game vs the Marlins that was won by the Braves by 12-2, he went 3 for 5, with two RBI and a run scored. And then still he left three runners on base. Andrelton was also the center piece of a 1-6-3 double play. Andrelton drove in the two runs with one single in the first inning.

The Orioles beat the Rays in the second game of that series as well. This time it was much closer than the previous game: 6-5.

Jonathan Schoop only entered the game in the ninth as defensive substitution. He did not get an at bat. He didn’t even get a ball to field as Zach Britton struck out the side.
