Minor League affiliation news (it just never stops)
More news about Minor League affiliations. This time not a change but an extension of a Player Development Contract.
The Toronto Blue Jays have extended their PDC with the New Hampshire FisherCats through the 2018 season. Both teams are linked to each other for 15 straight years now.
The relationship between the two started in 2003 when the team was still in New Haven CT, where it was called the Ravens.
In 2004 the team moved to Manchester to become the New Hampshire FisherCats. In that very first season the club won the Eastern League (AA) title.
As usual with an announcement like this, both parties exchange some politeness by declaring how happy they are with the cooperation. Regarding the number of years that both teams are linked to each other, both clubs will be very happy with each other.
Notable players that called the FisherCats their home are Coco Crisp, Victor Zambrano and Alex Rios to name a few.
