Belgian Transactions For 2025: Namur Angels

It’s that time of the year again to pay attention to the transaction in the Belgian Division 1. This time we pay attention to the team that finished in sixth place in 2024: The Namur Angels.

Unlike many other clubs, no players did leave or hung up their cleats.

Below are the additions to the flagship team of the Namur Angels.
There are several players that return to the club.
Andres de la Rosa comes from the Liege Rebels of Division 2. According to the roster, De la Rosa is a utility player. He batted .379 in Division 2 in 2024.

A former youth player is coming back to his roots: Emeric Clinkart comes over from the farm team of Phoenix Mont-Saint-Guibert.

Also Jean-Marc Lambeau will return to the Namur Angels. In the past years, he played for the Braine Black Rickers. It is not clear yet if he will play in Division 1 or Division 2.

There is also some news regarding the coaching staff. A new coach will join the ranks of the Angels: Freddy Vibert. Vibert allegedly played for the New York Yankees organization. He managed the London Mets and the Zürich Barracudas and is hitting coach of the Belgian U12 and U15 teams. Last year he was general manager of the Wielsbeke Pitbulls.

A big thank you goes out to Ronny Heymans, who provided the much needed information to write this blog post.
