München-Haar Disciples Sign Phildrick Llewellyn
After a season with the Bonn Capitals, Curaçao-born Phildrick Llewellyn has signed with the München-Haar Disciples, from the South Division of the 1. German Bundesliga.
After being part of the Untouchables Paderborn for many years, that club didn’t extend his contract in 2023. As a result, Phildrick Llewellyn moved to the Bonn Capitals.
With the Capitals, Phildrick appeared in twenty-one games in which he batted .344 (twenty-two hits in sixty-four at-bats) with three doubles, four home runs and twenty-four RBI.
Phyldrick came to Germany after the 2018 season. In the previous years, he played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Baltimore Orioles organizations. In 2016, he turned to Indy ball and played for the Alpine Cowboys of the Pecos League. In 2017, he played for the Trinidad Triggers (Pecos League) and the San Rafael Pacifics of the Pacific Asscociation.
In 2018, Phildrick was signed by the Rimini Pirates of the Italian Serie A was signed by the Quebec Capitales but was signed by the Trinidad Triggers again.
In Llewellyn, the Disciples have acquired a solid utility player. In the twenty-one games of the regular season, he played all in left field and also played third base. But Phildrick is also capable of playing catcher, shortstop, and the other outfield positions.
