How to Beat Pitching?

Normally yours truly does not use complete texts of other websites to post. But in this case, I’d like to make an exception. The following blogpost is taken from the website of my loyal sponsor Bat King Europe. The reason why I copied it is that it is a nice article on how to beat good pitching.

OUR GUIDE TO BEAT PITCHERS

How do you set up hitters when you’re pitching? What pitch sequences do you employ to put hitters away quickly and efficiently? How do you mix up your pitch selection, location and velocity to keep batters uncomfortable?

That is how the “other side” of us hitters goes about the mother of all sports battles. The encounter between a pitcher and a hitter in baseball. We must admit: we love hitting. We love the sound of a wood bat demolishing a baseball. That is way better than the whiff. But we are always the underdog’s guys. Good pitching will always beat good hitting. No matter who you are. We have to respect the gamer that is 60 feet and 6 inches away from us.

But is there nothing that we hitters can do? But of course, there is. We have to be as mental as those pitchers. We need to start thinking like them. And it is all about adjusting. Adjusting to the game situation, adjusting when he is dominating you, adjusting when you seem to have his number. But you need to understand the basics of hitting. Do you remember Yogi Berra? Baseball is 90% mental and the other half is physical. And that says it all.

Yogi Berra

We need to step up our game, hitters of Europe. When in need, we must be able to fall back on the basics. So we made you the basic plan that will add up to your success. You need to understand these basics if you want to be successful. And what are those basics? You must know your opponent better than he knows himself. Know when you are in control and know when you must defend. Check out our guide to beat pitchers and share it with your teammates. Season 2021 is our season. Let’s go out hunting and let us know how you are doing!
