Normally, I don’t post about the achievements of this blog. Sometimes about the number of posts or hits, but that’s about it. But this morning I found out something that I am really thrilled about. Even this thrilled, I needed to write a note about it.
In the past days, the Dutch Baseball Hangout wrote about the possibility of Manny Ramirez heading to Italy and join Parma Baseball. Eventually, this was picked up by the website of Major League Baseball.
When I woke up this morning and checked the stats of this blog, it was 6:00 AM, the hit-counter stood at 400. Still sleepy, this number didn’t get through my head first, especially because the number of hits at that time of the day doesn’t exceed 100. When checking the referrers, I saw that a big chunk of hits came through the website of MLB.com.
When you open the article at MLB.com, you will see a link with the text “instead asking for cars, Italian villas, and free air travel.” This is the link to this blog.
Unfortunately, the website that mentioned the possibility of Manny Ramirez playing in Italy, is not mentioned. Still, this website, baseballmania.eu, deserves the credit of having the scoop.
Nevertheless, you may understand how thrilled I am that this tiny blog is mentioned by the website of the Walhalla of baseball. 🙂
