New threads for Milwaukee Brewers

Recently the new logo of the Milwaukee Brewers was leaked. Last night the National League club presented its new logo and new uniforms. As one news outlet stated: Brewers head to the future by going back to the past.

Next to the main logo, four alternate logos were presented. The main logo will be slightly different than the original ball in glove logo. As the B of the original logo is now connected with the M on top of the logo. Next to the main logo, the ball in glove logo situated in a roundel, the Brewers presented the same logo but without the roundel, the batter logo that dates back to the very first days of the Brewers, a logo with the outline of the state of Wisconsin with the block M that was the cap logo of the club in the first years, and a baseball logo with ears of wheat as the seams. This last logo will be on the left sleeve of the home jerseys. The Wisconsin logo will be on the sleeves of the road uniforms.

Next to the uniforms, the club presented four new uniforms. A cream home uniform, a white uni with navy pinstripes, a gray road uniform and an alternate road uniform with a navy jersey and a gray pants. This alternate road jersey sports piping up the front and around the sleeves.

Together with the alternate home jersey comes an alternate cap that also refers to the early days of the Brewers. It is navy with a yellow front.

All uniforms but the alternate home jersey have some striping at the bottom of the sleeves. The cream uniform is a referral to the nickname of Milwaukee: The Cream City.

This year the right sleeves of the jerseys will be adorned with a special 50th-anniversary patch.
