As the home plate umpire did not call a pitch through the heart of the strike zone for the third strike, Shaldimar Daantje got a free pass to first base. The following batter, Quentin de Cuba, connected for a home run to give Neptunus a 2-0 lead. Even though Misja Harcksen had to give up five runs he kept Twins in the game in six innings.
The lineup of Twins hardly could get a grip on the pitches of Orlando Yntema, who kept them limited to two runs on four hits. in five innings. Twins’ Sam Kennelly contributed to the three runs that Twins scored with two solo home runs.

Nevertheless, Steijl earned the win as he got plenty of run support. A double up the middle by Ibrahin Redan put Meerlease Pioniers on the board as Brian Raap could score. In the following eight innings, Pioniers would score ten times as the eighth inning was their biggest inning when four singles, a double, a walk, a fielder’s choice and a wild pitch led to five runs.

Three errors cost DSS dearly today as they led to as many unearned runs in the sixth inning that handed the win to HCAW.
