Overview Dutchie top fifty prospects

In the previous article, you could read about Tom de Blok and his entrance in the Tigers’ prospect top 50. But there are more players from the Dutch kingdom who are in the top fifty of their club’s prospect list. An overview.

Zander WielZander Wiel
Zander Wiel, son of  Randy Wiel, former assistant coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, ranks 37 in the top 50 prospect list of the Minnesota Twins. According to prospects1500.com, Wiel is high on power, low on average, Wiel did raise his walk rate and lower his strikeout rate from 2016 so he could end up a solid first baseman/designated hitter.

Sicnarf LoopstokSicnarf Loopstok
Aruba born Sicnarf Loopstok ranks 27 on the prospect list of the Cleveland Indians. Sicnarf had a slash line of .249/.346/.456 in 2017 and bashed 17 homers in 2017. It was his best season since being drafted in 2013. Loopstok also helped his cause by playing in the field as catcher, first base, third base, and outfield.

Darren SeferinaDarren Seferina
Darren is ranked 34th in the Cardinals’ top 50. Drafted in the fifth round of 2014, the 23-year old Curaçaoan was primed to be a speed-first shortstop but injuries have drastically impacted that part of his game. He made his Double-A debut last year and had a respectable .768 OPS in 48 games. With a career.347 OPS, he has a good approach at the plate.

Carter KieboomCarter Kieboom
Shortstop Carter has made quite an impact in his second professional year, even though he lost playing time due to an injury. Carter is an American born with a Dutch father. Currently, the shortstop is ranked no. 3. According to scouts, he has to work on his aggressiveness at the plate as he strikes out a lot. His brother, catcher Spencer Kieboom used to be a top fifty prospect for the Washington Nationals, just like Carter, but he has dropped out of the top fifty.

Several top 50 overviews will come up soon. If any player of the Dutch kingdom is mentioned, you will get an update.
