David Dahl makes his presence felt

Not so long ago, David Dahl was still playing with the Albuquerque Isotopes before he was called up to Denver to join the Colorado Rockies. But after his call up, Dahl hit safely in sixteen games. With those sixteen consecutive games with at least one basehit, he tied the Rockies club record of Juan Pierre.

Today in the game vs the Texas Rangers, Dahl managed to hit a single off Lucas Harrell, tying the MLB record that was set by Chuck Aleno of the Cincinnati Reds in 1941.

Dahl started the 2016 season with the Hartford YardGoats (yes, the team without a stadium). After he batted .278 with 13 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases he was promoted to the Isotopes. It took him only 16 games at AAA level before he was promoted to the Bigs.

In his debut vs the Baltimore Orioles, Dahl hit the first basehit of his 17-game hitting streak.

No matter if he will break the record tomorrow, he has made his presence felt already, also with a batting average of .365.
