Fightin Phils unveal new unis

This is definately my favorite part of the off season. The part where teams come up with new uniforms and caps for the next season.
Yesterday the Reading Fightin Phils, the AA affiliate of… yes the Phillies, unveiled their new uniforms for the 2016 season. The team came up with four new uniforms for the next season.
First the road uni is a special kind of grey that kind of looks like the grey of the old flannel jerseys of the 1930s. The navy script on the jersey says Reading. It comes with a navy cap with a red feathered R on the front.
The home uniform and the alternate navy home uniform are not new, but will be thrown in the mix during during the season.
The home uni is a white uniform with red pinstripes and a red script saying Fightin Phils. On the left sleeve there is the team popular ostrich logo and the right sleeve carries the iconic P-logo of the Philadelphia parent club. With that uniform comes a red cap sporting a the white F with a punching fist. The home jersey is a homage to the 1950 Phillies team that was called the whiz kids. This team was a very young talented team, with an average age of 26.4, that won the NL pennant and faced the Yankees in the World Series. But there the youngsters proved to be no match for the very experienced team from the Bronx as they were swept.

The navy home jersey with a white piping on the lower side of the sleeve running down from the arm pits to the bottom of the jersey. That uni comes with a navy cap with the aforementioned F logo.
The new BP jersey will be red with a white script saying Reading. The jersey has a grey piping running on the lower side of the sleeve, also running down from the arm pits to the bottom of the jersey. With this jersey comes a navy BP cap with the ostrich logo on it.
Two more extra features are a retro home cap with a white front that carries the same logo as the the left sleeve of the home jersey and an alternate jersey that commemorates the 50-year affiliation with the Phillies, the longest running in MiLB. The jersey will show photos and
memories of the great players that once played for the Reading team.
Recently the club presented the commemorative logo of this 50-year celebration.
