HCAW deals with a lot of transfers

A press release by HCAW unveils that a lot of persons (not only players) have left the club.

Earlier it was announced that the club and manager Ralph Milliard decided not to go on with each other. Also assistent coach Marlon Frolijk would leave the club as he would become manager of RCH-Pinguins from Heemsteede (near Haarlem).
Next to these two other coaches have hung up their spikes as well. Both assistent coach Joost Calis and pitching coach Robbert Keetelaar have decided not to return at the club from Bussum.

The biggest surprise may be the move of Maickel Rietel from HCAW to Vaessen Pioniers. The pitcher will be one of the many that leave the club from Bussum

The players who leave the club are:
Jazon Allee, Roland Laurens (both will head for RCH-Pinguïns), Brian Biezen, Rikkert Kempen, Jarreau Martina (all will go to Oosterhout Twins, that earned a promotion to the hoofdklasse), Max Clarijs (L&D Amsterdam Pirates), Peter van Doesburg (retired), Roy Seltenrijch (will become coach at Scimitars, one of the six baseball academies in the Netherlands), Leon Elshof, Tony Kreisel (both will play for HCAW 2), Jim Froberg (Domstad Dodgers), Steven van Groningen (Curaçao Neptunus), Aldrich Guzman (Mampaey The Hawks), Bob Klaarenbeek (Quick Amersfoort),Emersson Paula (The Orioles from Bergschenhoek, near Rotterdam) and Maickel Rietel (Vaessen Pioniers).

Of course there are players that will reinforce the club from Bussum, but they are outnumbered by those who leave the club. Biggest surprise may be Vince Rooi who came from Vaessen Pioniers. Also Roelie Henrique, who comes from L&D Amsterdam Pirates, may considered a surprise. But it is very likely that he made room for Gilmer Lampe and Danny Rombley, who both will roam the outfield in Amsterdam.

The newbies for the 2016 season are:
Ian Delemarre, Oscar Meuris, Jim Ploeger (all from UVV), Levine Gabriels (DSS), Julian Goins (Mampaey The Hawks), Roeland Henrique (L&D Amsterdam Pirates) Vince Rooi, Kevin Weijgertse (beide Vaessen Pioniers).

An important new player is Jim Ploeger. The pitcher has joined team Kingdom of the Netherlands for the Premier 12. He will  replace Maikel Rietel who left for Vaessen Pioniers.

Vince Rooi (photo on the left) will reinforce the lineup at bat. Over the past seasons Rooi has proved to be one of the best and most consistent hitters of the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

Kevin Weijgertse will return to his old club as well, after a year spent with Vaessen Pioniers.

Of course the loss of  so many players will hurt the club, but HCAW got something good in return as well. It is to be expected that the club will stay out of the danger zone called relegation.

What is left for the club is to gather a new coaching staff for the 2016 season.
