Summing up the Dutchies per MLB organization: Houston Astros

In “Summing up the Dutchies per MLB organization, a short one again. This time I will pay attention to:

             Number of Dutchies: 1

Jacques Sambo:
Jacques is another player from the talent pool called Curacao. The 17-year old right handed pitcher signed a contract with the Astros in May of this year. He was appointed to one of the teams of the Astros in the Dominican Summer League.
Jacques  has played little league on the Referina ISLA team from Curacao. Rather soon after he signed the contract his season started at May 30.

So far he has pitched in relief appearances in which he posted an 0-2 record, a 5.40 ERA and two saves in four opportunities.
Despite his high ERA, he is keeping his opponents in check rather well as they hit only .167 with him on the mound. The high ERA will be caused by the high number of walks that he gave up so far: 16 vs 9 Ks.
