Dutchies in Spring Training, Monday March 30
No Yankees yesterday, so only a report about the Dutchies in yesterday’s ST games.
The Atlanta Braves stayed at the right side of the 4-2 score vs the Detroit Tigers. Andrelton Simmons got one basehit out of three at bats. Andrelton made an inning ending 6-4 force out when Victor Martinez grounded towards him in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Rays and the Orioles didn’t get any further than a 6-6 tie after ten innings. Jonathan Schoop went 1 for 4 with an RBI double and a run scored, both in the top of the third inning. Jonathan was the center point of a nice inning ending double play in the bottom of the seventh.
The biggest result by far was the 14-2 victory of the Red Sox over the Twins. Seven doubles and a broken bat homerun by Mike Napoli were clearly too much for the Twins to overcome. Despite striking out once, Xander Bogaerts saw the ball well, going 2 for three with an RBI double, one of six runs in the fourth inning.
