Sabathia claims to be without pain

CC Sabathia underwent surgery to his right knee in July 2014 after he had just pitched in eight games (3-4 record and a 5.28 ERA).
Sabathia said that he has played catch recently and that he didn’t feel any pain. He is planning to do some bullpen sessions in the coming weeks.

Playing catch… I wonder what kind of pressure that will put on his knee. The first real test will be those bullpen sessions that he is talking about.

Sabathia has two years left on his contract with the Yankees. It would be nice if he could regain his old shape that brought the Yankees a championship in 2009. According to Sabathia he expects to be healthy for spring training.

“If I can be healthy, I’m sure all that other stuff will fall in place,” Sabathia said. With all due respect, but losing some weight may help as well.
