Dutchies in the Minor League playoffs

Since I am a fan of Dutch baseball and Minor League baseball, I am a keen follower of the Dutch players and players from the Netherlands Antilles that play in the various minor leagues. Therefore I like to write about them as well.

A Advanced
If one player deserves a championship ring, it is Randolph Oduber. In the first inning of game four of the Carolina League’s championship series he belted a three run homerun. Despite the fact that the Potomac Nationals scored two more runs in the course of the game, this dinger was the game winner already. With two outs and a 2-2 count he cleared the left field fence. Next to this homerun, Randolph hit a single and drew a walk as well. He went 2 for 3 in this game. Randolph Oduber will join team Netherlands for the European Cup. I hope that he will continue hitting like he did in his last two games of this championship series. 🙂

A Full Season
In game one of the championship series of the Midwest League, the Kane County Cougars beat the Lake County Captains 4-3. Catcher Sicnarf Loopstok didn’t get any playing time for the Captains.
