vs Where L&D Amsterdam Pirates managed to win Saturday’s game in a comeback fashion, they couldn’t on Sunday. DOOR Neptunus took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Gianison Boekhoudt led off the inning with a doube and advanced to third on a 4-3 groundout hit by Kalian Sams. Dwayne Kemp drove in…
vs The Giants took on the Washington Nationals yesterday. I can hear you think: “Dutchies in that game?” Not players but San Francisco’s hitting coach Hensley Meulens is a Dutchy as well. Meulens was the first player from Curacao that made it to the bigs. He is also responsible…
vs The series between Mampaey The Hawks and DSS was tied at one. Yesterday DSS headed to Dordrecht to take on the Hawks. In the first five innings neither team did score. Mampaey The Hawks had the best opportunity to score with runners in scoring position twice, but the team failed to cash…
vs Despite my fear that Rob Cordemans wouldn’t pitch, he was sent to the mound by manager Charles Urbanus. But even with Rob Cordemans on the mound, L&D Amsterdam Pirates trailed after one inning. With runners on first and second and two outs, Kalian Sams proved his value for DOOR Neptunus. When he…
vs After Thursday’s game, DOOR Neptunus got back into the series. Diegomar Markwell handed the victory to the team from Rotterdam with a dominant outing. Today game four will be played in Amsterdam. vs What a night it was for Jonathan Schoop. Not only did his team, the Baltimore Orioles, win with a big margin, Jonathan himself performed very well. In the bottom of the second inning Jonathan was responsible indirectly for the run that the Orioles scored. With Ryan Flaherty on first, Jonathan singled on a…
vs In game one Diegomar Markwell was hit hard and Kevin Heijstek was practically unhittable. Game three was the other way around. Kevin Heijstek struggled in the first two innings. He allowed two runs on four hits in the first inning. In the second he allowed one more run on two hits, but eventually…
Since 2004 I am addicted to Minor League baseball. Not that it is easy to attend a game when you live in the Netherlands, but I love the way those clubs are more focused on families, children and the related entertainment. In 2008 I attended my first Minor League game at Adelanto, CA. The High…
vs Tonight, game three will be played at the home field of L&D Amsterdam Pirates. I am going to attend, so I am really looking forward to this game. I wonder who will be the starters for both teams. Since Kevin Heijstek pitched on Saturday, he has had four days…
