Holland Series 2014: Game 3 probables

Tonight, game three will be played at the home field of L&D Amsterdam Pirates. I am going to attend, so I am really looking forward to this game.

I wonder who will be the starters for both teams. Since Kevin Heijstek pitched on Saturday, he has had four days rest (five including today). Since he was flat out dominating, I expect that manager Charles Urbanus will send Heijstek to the mound again for L&D Amsterdam Pirates. If not, Jos de Jong will probably be the starter tonight.

Some inside information told me that Diegomar Markwell will pitch for DOOR Neptunus tonight. Markwell was tossed from Sunday’s game after a bench clearing brawl but this kind of cases are dealt with on Thursday nights by the Dutch Baseball Federation. So this means that Diegomar can pitch. Same case with Kalian Sams. He was also tossed from Sunday’s game after he didn’t agree with a third strike call.

Diegomar Markwell will be the starter for Neptunus tonight

L&D Amsterdam Pitcher Chris Mowday will also be available, even though he was tossed on Sunday as well.

Some other inside information told me that Evert-Jan ‘t Hoen is keeping Dodgers’ prospect Misja Harcksen on the bench. I am rather high on Harcksen. Despite his age he is a talented kid. I have seen him pitch once against Kinheim and he was flat out dominating. According Van ‘t Hoen Harcksen’s season is over and he should focus on the upcoming season.
I tip my cap to Van ‘t Hoen for not being selfish. IMHO he could have used Harcksen in the rotation.

Misja Harcksen is kept out of the lineup.

Evert-Jan ‘t Hoen himself was tossed from Sunday’s game as well, but he can take his place in the dugout tonight as well.
