German baseball season postponed

Today, the DBV (Deutscher Baseball und Softball Verband or German Baseball and Softball Federation) announced through its website that the upcoming season will be postponed until May 9th.

According to the federation, this will give the clubs the opportunity to prepare for the season if training activities can be started again mid-April or at the end of April.

Due to the postponement of the start of the season, changes in the schedule will be necessary. An updated schedule will follow swiftly.

According to its website, the DBV will not organize any training activities for its national teams. The federation advises the local federations (of the various states) not to organize training activities until mid-April.

In the coming weeks, the DBV will monitor the current situation around the coronavirus and will take necessary steps if needed.
