Wilmington BlueRocks Add Minor Changes to Uniform

The Wilmington BlueRocks already had one of the best looks in Minor League Baseball. But now, they have refined that look by adding new lettering and an alternate logo that will be used as alternate cap logo.

First of all, the lettering. The font has changed into something that seems to be carved out of the blue granite that can be found along the Brandywine River.

The next new item is the pickaxe that will be used as alternate cap logo. Actually, it is a baseball bat disguised as pitckaxe. As you can see, the pickaxe logo can be found on the cap of Rocky Bluewinkle in the main logo.

Now let’s move to the home uniform. It has that new font as described above. But next to that lettering, the uniform numbers have the same look, as they are carved out the blue granite.

The pickaxe logo comes with a new alternate (third) cap with a new (alternate?) uniform. The jersey is navy with the same granite font as the home jersey. Only this jersey sports the word Rocks. Also the uniform numbers have the same look.

The pickaxe logo resembles the old cap logo of the Templiers de Sénart from the French Division 1 although that logo depicted a mace.

With this new refined look, the BlueRocks made quite an improvement. Not that the old look was bad, but this new look has even more ties with the region of Wilmington.
