Copa Americana de Beisbol Postponed Until Further Notice
The other day you could read here about the release of the roster of team Curaçao for the upcoming Copa Americana de Beisbol. Today, the WBSC Americas came with some very disappointing news.
On its website, the governing body of baseball of the American continent announced that the tournament, originally scheduled from November 13 – 22, will be postponed until further notice.
In a press release, the WBSC Americas stated: “Following the guidelines and full compliance with the directives of the WBSC Americas Baseball in its guide for proposals for organizing international events, the Baseball Americas Cup will be rescheduled to take place at a later date.
Due to non-compliance by the private promoter who was to carry out the cup from 11/13 to 11/22/2025 in Panama, the event’s installation, participation of the athletes, accommodation, transportation and security involved in carrying out this type of event would be prevented.
A press conference will be held on November 12th to announce the details to the media and the general public.“
