On the fourth day of the 2021 CEB Cup, the following games were scheduled: Templiers de Sénart @ Astros Valencia, Therwil Flyers @ Astros Valencia, Draci Brno @ Dornbirn Indians, and BK Minsk @ Templiers de Sénart.

Templiers de Sénart – Astros ValenciaIn a nice pitching duel, stayed at the right side of the score. After a quick first inning, the Templiers took the lead in the second inning. With one out, Oliver van der Wijst tripled to right center field and scored on Mathis Meurant’s double down the left field line. In the bottom of the second, Astros Valencia had a big opportunity to tie the game when Blake Ochoa doubled and advanced to third on a single by Sandel Cuevas. A sac bunt didn’t have the intended result as only Cuevas advanced to second. Shane Priest then retired the final batter on a strikeout. After three scoreless innings, Sénart extended its lead. With runners on the corners, Andy Paz scored on a wild pitch.
In the meantime, Shane Priest cruised through seven innings, in which he allowed five hits and two walks and struck out seven. Despite the two runs he allowed, Cuban veteran Yosbani Torres also pitched a solid game. In eight innings, he gave up seven hits, walked one, and struck out eight. But the 2-0 lead appeared not to be enough. All the Astros needed was a three-run inning and they got that in the bottom of the eighth when Sandel Cuevas hit a bases-clearing triple.
Despite pitching seven scoreless innings, the eighth inning cost Shane Priest the win. He allowed eight hits, walked three and struck out seven. The win went to Torres Yosbani, who pitched a complete game in which he allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk, and struck out eight.
Going 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI, Sandel Cuevas was the best hitter for the Spanish champion.
Therwil Flyers 6 – 11 Astros ValenciaFor three and a half innings, the Flyers managed to keep track with the Astros Valencia but in the bottom of the fourth, a three -run inning was the omen of a relatively easy victory for the reigning Spanish champion.
Valencia would score two more runs in the sixth, one in the seventh, and two in the eighth. The two runs scored by the Flyers in the top of the eight, contrasted with the offensive outburst of Valencia in the aforementioned three innings.
Notable feat: Yosbani Torres, who had pitched a complete game in the morning game of the Astros and threw one hundred and twenty-seven pitches, threw the first three innings of this game as well. Sénart struck first in the bottom of the first inning as it scored twice. But BK Minsk answered with a two-run second inning. A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning drove in José Paula for the go-ahead run. In the third inning, the Templiers scored twice on a throwing error by Minsk’s catcher. A run in the fifth and one in the sixth, appeared to be insurance runs as Minsk scored thrice in the eighth inning. But neither team would score a run anymore.
