In order to be ready for the upcoming Scudetto competition in the Serie A, Nettuno BC 1945 has added another arm to its roster. A player with some experience in MLB and two years of experience in the NPB.

Nettuno added Rhiner Cruz, former Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and Toronto Blue Jays farmhand to their roster. The right handed pitcher pitched a total of seventy-four games in the bigs (seventy-two for Houston and two for Toronto) in which he posted a 5.20 ERA.
In the Japanese NPB, Cruz played for the Rakuten Golden Eagles in fifty-five games and posted a 3.45 ERA. During his extensive career, he was mostly used as a reliever but had one start in the minors with the DSL Mets.

Recently, Nettuno acquired Engel Beltre and it started the season with a former AAA catcher and a former AAA pitcher.
With these acquisitions, the club must be able to compete for a spot in the Italian Series.
