When the FIBS (Federazione Italiana Baseball e Softball) removed the schedules of the Serie A from its website a few days ago, one could imagine that the season would be postponed.
The website of the FIBS confirms that the season will be put on hold and that friendly matches cannot be played either.

Even though the Italian government has announced that the corona measures will be loosened, starting May 4, the FIBS has decided to postpone the upcoming Serie A season.
Friendly matches will not be allowed until April 7 but no new date has been set for the Serie A season.
The U18 competitions are targeted to start on May 8 and from there, the FIBS will see on which date the senior competitions can start.
