About two weeks ago you could read an article about Jakob Syrén, who was looking for a new club. Thanks to that blog post quite some clubs contacted him. As a result, he has signed a contract with one of the premier German clubs.
After the aforementioned blog post, the Swedish reliever was approached by several German and French clubs. He even was approached by a Dutch hoofdklasse club but eventually, that did not work as the club couldn’t find appropriate housing for him before the start of the 2019 season.
But sooner than expected, Jakob and the Solingen Alligators found each other as Jakob told the Dutch Baseball Hangout this morning.
As a fan of De Glaskoning Twins, I am sad to see him leave, but I am very happy for him that he found a new club for the 2019 season.
The blog post and the posting of the link on Facebook and Twitter prove the positive possibilities of social media.
With Jakob signing with the Alligators, there is nothing for me to do but wishing him good luck in the 1. Bundesliga.
